Park & Ride
Park for free and catch the train
Park & Rides are uncovered carparks for public transport users travelling that day, which are located at many Metlink railway stations. Even though there are no gates or set opening hours, vehicles cannot be left overnight. Most carparks are monitored by CCTV cameras.
There are no reserved spaces, so it's first come first serve. We recommend getting in early and having a backup plan, in case the carpark is already full. Some stations have other public parking nearby, which may have time limits or parking fees, so check for posted signage and road markings.
Terms & conditions
It is free to use Park & Ride carparks, but there are Terms & Conditions, which are clearly posted at carpark entrances, and are listed below.
If you go against these terms and conditions, we can clamp or tow your vehicle. If this has happened to your vehicle, our authorised towing company is Valley Parking Services Ltd. You can contact them for removal of a clamp or to retrieve your vehicle on 0800 25 26 70.
