COVID-19: Metlink adds Masterton Town bus services during COVID-19 lockdown
Metlink is operating Masterton Town bus services on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings for essential workers and to enable the community to access essential services.
The bus service follows the usual town service routes (201, 202, 203 and 206) in a circuit starting from 9.00am at Church Street. A return bus service starts at 11.00am following the same circuit.
“We’ve been monitoring the impact of Metlink moving to a Sunday bus timetable across the network during lockdown and this move means Masterton residents will be able to access essential services in their community on key days,” says Scott Gallacher, General Manager of Metlink.
Public transport is free until the end of June and is available for essential workers and to enable members of the public to access essential services such as supermarkets, pharmacies and other health facilities.
