Free Accessible Shuttle Service
UPDATE: Metlink has announced that it will be reopening the Lambton bus interchange on Sunday 6 March now that protestors have been moved on after three weeks of occupation. The last day of our Accessible Shuttle will be Tuesday 8 March 2022.
While the current protest action continues to disrupt our services, Metlink is providing a free Accessible Shuttle service between Wellington Station and our temporary bus terminals on Brandon Street and Lambton Quay, outside Farmers
When will this Accessible Shuttle be available and where does it go?
Our Accessible Shuttle service will be operating from Monday 28 February and will continue to run until we can return to Lambton Interchange.
The service will run 7am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
The shuttle will depart approximately every 20 minutes, has wheelchair access and is free of charge.
The shuttle will run between Platform 10 at Wellington Station and will our temporary bus terminals on Brandon Street and Lambton Quay (outside Farmers).
Can I use this service?
The shuttle service is for our customers with accessibility needs.
Why are you doing this?
Due to the ongoing protest action around Parliament, Metlink has experienced disruption from road closures and detours of buses. Access to Lambton’s Interchange is blocked due to the protest action. Due to this, we have set up a temporary bus terminal on Brandon Street and Lambton Quay to ensure you can still catch your required bus.
Do I have to wear my face mask?
This is a Metlink service - you must continue to wear your face mask on this service and to track your journey.
