Metlink removes service from Wellington Interchange

Following its latest risk assessments for the parliament protest Metlink is removing all bus services from Lambton Interchange with immediate effect and putting additional detours in place.

We have taken this decision with everyone’s health and wellbeing at the forefront of our plans and we thank passengers for their patience during this time.

Customers heading towards Wellington Station: Customers will disembark at either Stop 5012 (Farmers, Lambton Quay) or Stop 5018 (Opposite Capital Gateway, Thorndon Quay)

Customers heading into the city from Wellington Station: Instead of Lambton Interchange stops A, B, and C, customers should instead head to the temporary stop on Brandon Street.

Bowen Street: Routes 2, 14 and 22 will continue to use Bowen Street.

• Route 2 services will travel as normal via Lambton Quay.
• Route 14 services will continue to travel along the current detour route via Lambton Quay and Bowen Street.
• Route 22 services will start and end at the temporary bus terminus stop on Brandon Street instead of Lambton Interchange.

Metlink advises customers to check the Metlink website and app before traveling to keep up to date with the latest diversions.
